Giuliani: ‘I Saved More Black Lives’ than Beyoncé

Rudy Giuliani is defending his questions about Hillary Clinton’s health – despite the fact there has been no evidence to contradict her doctor’s report that she’s fit for office – with the former NY mayor saying in an op-ed that he’s “performing a public service”.

“I had five uncles who were police officers, two cousins who were, and one who died in the line of duty”.

Giuliani figured the crime reduction of 75 percent accounted for “maybe 4,000 or 5,000” African-American young people ‘who are still alive today because of the policies I put in effect that weren’t in effect for 35 years’.

Beyoncé, who won eight Moonmen on Sunday including album of the year for “Lemonade”, has been vocal about recent police shootings.

In addition to the political imagery in her VMAs stage performance, Beyonce also appeared on the red carpet with the mothers of three African-American men killed by police, and the mother of Trayvon Martin, who was shot by neighbourhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in 2012. As she sang, the dancers fell to the ground alone or in pairs in time with beats from the music, and the lights pooling around them turned blood red, another apparent nod to the victims of gun violence. Giuliani added, “It’s a shame”.

While on “Fox & Friends”, which sounds like a show on the Disney channel now that I think about it, Rudy could not contain his distaste, especially when it came to criticizing the perceived anti-police message.

Hey Beyonce, what are you doing about black crime?

“So if you’re going to do that, you also should symbolize why the police officers are in those neighborhoods”, he continued.

Beyoncé performs at the 2016 VMAs. To me, it’s two easy answers: a much better education and a good job.

Instead of potentially engaging a dialogue about how we can fix this growing and lethal issue, Rudy chose to make this about him, as if he had to say, “hey, I didn’t experience this, so it must not be true”.

Giuliani has been coming up in the news quite a bit recently as one of the best-known Republicans endorsing Donald Trump for president.

Brian Kilmeade called it “pretty indelible” for Beyonce to push her message at such a high-profile event, which Giuliani affirmed by saying “it’s a shame”.
