It is interesting to note that while Schumer was writing her screenplay, she actually tailored it fit Apatow’s directing style so he would hopefully be interested in the film. “I couldn’t sleep the night before”, Schumer shares. “I feel frightful about it, but I promise it wasn’t laziness, or that I didn’t respect the crowd I have to be out there, it was strictly a rookie mistake, and I’m sorry that they had to pay for it”. “It seems pretty simple, but people’s reaction is, ‘She wants to take our guns, ‘” Schumer said.

Tell us, HollywoodLifers -Do you think Amy should stick with her day job? “We realized that’s what the movie should be all about”. Director Judd Apatow knows how to handle comedy, but at times the movie hits snags with long winded snippets of meaningless, although amusing, moments that draw out his film.
Although she was quite comfortable in the world of standup comedy, Schumer admits that having Apatow as a director on her first film was a humbling experience.
Taking to her twitter to clarify the situation, the Trainwreck star said… “When I let it in that this was really happening, I cried like a one-year-old”.
As the two worked on the film, they both used the time spent in NY to hone their talents on stage. Although it still clocks in at over two hours, “Trainwreck” is a relatively focused examination of an irresponsible party girl finding true love, growth, etc. The story beats themselves aren’t exactly the most original, but a great, amusing cast creates one of the better comedies of 2015.

When Amy tells Method Man that she has been working on her freestyle skills he encourages her to “spit” for him, but then disaster strikes. At least Amy makes the character amusing to a degree but if I was Bill Hader’s character, I would have walked away. It was either that or go home and watch CNN. I’m amazed that such a focused sportsman could work in comedy and become an important link in its success. “For a few reason, it helped me unwind”.
