GLAAD slams ‘Tomboy’ film for ‘sensationalizing’ gender reassignment surgery

The upcoming film Tomboy: A Revenger’s Tale is causing a controversy among LGBT activist groups, and most notable among them is GLAAD, which is calling the plotline of the planned movie “disappointing” for its “sensationalistic” depiction of gender-confirmation surgeries. Here Hill see’s Wick’s murdered puppy and raises him one penis and testicles. The title character later takes revenge on his tormentor, who will be played by Alien’s Sigourney Weaver.

She said: “If I decided I didn’t want to be typecast tomorrow, I’d just do an indie film where I play a few poor girl who goes through a few excruciating experience and win myself an award for crying or being raped”.

Tomboy, A Revenger’s Tale is directed by Walter Hill, best known for The Warriors and 48 Hrs.

The Avatar films also star her Tomboy co-star Weaver.

Played by Sigourney Weaver, The Doctor then turns Rodriguezs hitman into a woman. I can not be just the girlfriend. The film is based on a story by author Denis Hamill.

Instead, the Fast and Furious veteran explained, she is willing to work hard to carve a niche out for herself.
