‘Gladbach wins 3-1, ends Bayern’s unbeaten Bundesliga run

In this July 16 2015 picture Bayern’s Franck Ribery from France poses during a photo shooting for the German first division Bundesliga soccer season in Munich, Germany. Everything must go well: “the shape, the game and the happiness of someone upstairs has probably wished that I scored five goals”.

Bayern s lead was cut to five points as second-placed Borussia Dortmund won 2-1 at Wolfsburg thanks to Shinji Kagawa s dramatic 93rd-minute victor.

Dortmund, who moved up to 35 points, struck through Marco Reus in the first half and desperately tried to protect their lead as Wolfsburg attacked after the break. “We would not be a good fit”, he said.

The sprightly attacker has revealed that he was wanted in West London, but preferred a switch to Bayern in order to work with manager Pep Guardiola.

The second half was an absolutely disgrace as Lars Stindl ran circles around Xabi Alonso, the Gladbach midfield of Xhaka and Dahoud took apart the Bayern Munich attack and defense time and again. “We need to quickly forget [the Gladbach loss] and focus on the next match”. “We had a bit of luck, but were very fearless and had a lot of self-confidence after going 1-0 up”, said Schubert.

The visitors continued to pile on the pressure and almost found the opener in the 26th minute, but Robert Lewandowski was denied by Sommer, befoe Kingsley Coman rattled the woodwork with the rebound.

But Gladbach hit the champions on the break, Raffael combining beautifully with Wendt and the Swede curling a low shot past keeper Manuel Neuer. “It’s not unusual for us to concede a goal, but after that we also lost our control and our order”.

“We played a very strong first half and created plenty of chances”, Guardiola told a news conference. The second and third followed shortly afterward. We’re partly to blame ourselves.

Hertha were not to be denied, however, with John Brooks securing a vital win by heading home on the hour-mark.

Hertha was provisionally fourth ahead of the late game. The Mainz midfielder was lying on the ground when he volleyed Johan Djourou’s clearance over Jaroslav Drobny and inside the far post from a hard angle.

Los Blancos, who failed to win any major silverware last season, are also struggling in the present campaign.
