Glastonbury 2016: Girls get naked and flash boobs as weather clears up

A severe traffic warning has been place on the A37 between Farrington Gurney and Shepton Mallet, and hundreds of cars and caravans are blocking the country roads as they wait for access to the Glastonbury Festival site.

At 8.30am the festival released an update, telling those heading to the site: “If you are coming to the festival and have yet to begin your journey, please do not set off yet”.

People travelling by coach were also told not to get off and try to access the site on foot.

Organisers of Glastonbury Festival have urged people planning to arrive by auto or caravan to stay away from the site until the queues have cleared.

Police and the festival organisers urged fans to delay journeys to avoid adding to the chaos.

Rosie Bishop, who is working for the charity at the festival, said the tribute was “more emotional than I expected”.

Glastonbury festival-goers have been warned not to travel by auto, caravan or campervan because wet weather and ground conditions are causing congestion.

And they have advised that if people are yet to reach the site, they should stop somewhere safe and warm.

The incident comes just a day before gates to the grounds open on Wednesday (22Jun16) ahead of the official start on Friday (24Jun16).

Music fans are being urged “not to set off” for the event due to heavy traffic around the site due to the weather.

Meteorologists have warned that there may still be the odd thundery shower, particularly on Saturday lunchtime and Friday afternoon, but Worthy Farm should avoid the worst of the storms for Muse, Adele and Coldplay’s headline sets.

“There’s rain from time to time but also some good dry weather, so it’s worth packing for a mixture of conditions: wellies and sunglasses”.
