Glen Rice Jr. shot in leg outside Atlanta restaurant Sunday

A group of men were arguing on the upper deck patio of the eatery on October 25, and according to local police, five or six men were then kicked out of the establishment.

Rice fled the scene in a Porsche, the vehicle that police pulled over to find the former Wizard bleeding from his leg. Once pulled over, they searched the Porsche and found over a half-pound of marijuana and few thousand dollars in cash in the auto.

While an investigation into the argument is being conducted, Rice has been charged with reckless conduct and possession of marijuana. Former National Basketball Association player Glen Rice Jr. was involved in the brawl, and wound up injuring his leg after getting caught in the line of gunfire when the altercation in the parking lot escalated.

Rapper T.I. is the owner of the popular Atlanta restaurant, Scales 925 which is known to bring out a high caliber of celebrities, artists and athletes. That video also shows Rice throwing a gun into the stairwell of the restaurant, which police found and believe was stolen in Tennesee recently. He was selected out of the D-League, though, after his dismissal from Georgia Tech.

The Vipers have not released a statement on Rice’s arrest at this time. After another man shot him, police said Rice tried to leave the scene. Pryor was a passenger in the auto and said that he accidentally shot his 9mm.

Glen was also charged with permitting unlawful operation of a vehicle.

“Everybody makes mistakes, ” Rice told NBA.com in 2013.

Rice Jr. was originally selected in the second round of the 2013 National Basketball Association Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and has played parts of the last two seasons with the Washington Wizards. According to Net Worth Portal, Rice had an annual salary of $496,000 when he played for the Wizards and his net worth as of 2014 was $1.2 million.
