Glenn Close, husband David Shaw are getting a divorce

Close and her third husband David Shaw – who’s a biotech entrepreneur – are separating after being married for nine years, adds TMZ.

Following the end of her marriage to Marlas in 1987, Close told People magazine that marriage suited men more than it did women. They have been talking about it to their friends and were living separately from some time. She stated that men are benefited by the nurturing of women, but women don’t get much of the same from men.

The 101 Dalmatians star will also make her grand return to the stage, reprising the role of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard at the London Colosseum in April.

Glenn is reportedly moving back to New York following the separation to focus on her acting career. Katharine Hepburn said they should live next door and visit each other once in a while…I don’t particularly think marriage is a natural state…. Not a bad idea’. Without any accusation and noise the couple parted ways amicably as announced by Glenns’ representative.

Close has one offspring, a 27-year-old daughter Annie Maude Starke, whose father is Glenn’s previous partner John Starke. News. “She did not divorce him”, her rep said. She’s reuniting with John Malkovich for the first time since 1988 in “Wilde Wedding“, shooting this month. In the film, she plays a woman with borderline personality disorder who boils a bunny as a means of showing Michael Douglas’ character that she definitely means business.
