Gmail Android app lets users easily sign up for meetings

It’s odd to think this feature wasn’t around previously, but it looks like Google is interested in helping its mobile users get the full experience of the mail client.

Rich Text Formatting integration is fairly straightforward – you’ll see new buttons in your email compose interface that will allow you to add bold, italic, underlined, coloured and highlighted text to your emails.

With more people using email on their phones, Google has finally added two key editing and calendar features to its Gmail app for Android. These options will enable user to emphasize certain areas or details that are more important than the rest of the message, reports GSM Arena.

Gmail for Android has been updated today with two new features.

Additionally, “Instant RSVPs” make it simpler to find and schedule things onto your calendar through mobile, as users can now respond to events with a single tap.

Ever wish you could format your email on the go with more than just plain text? Now, when the user receives a calendar invitation, they will no longer have to open up separate apps to see if they are free that day.

Google didn’t say when it plans to bring these features to the Gmail app for iOS, but I actually wouldn’t be surprised if we first saw them appear in Inbox instead.
