GMC Unveils Updated 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition

The General Motors truck brand said Wednesday the 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition has body-color moldings, door handles, mirror caps, grille surround and bumpers. Similarly new HID projector beam headlamps have been inserted in the new Sierra truck. The 2016 Elevation Edition will be available in dealerships in the first quarter of 2016. The interior has a new infotainment system with a 7-inch screen that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration capability. 20-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels finished in black and a sprinkling of Elevation Edition emblems add a finishing touch to the custom look. “With its muscular design details, inherent truck capabilities and premium technology features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, Sierra Elevation improves on an already comprehensive package”. This truck will also feature OnStar LTE and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

The 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition is making use of a 4.3 liter EcoTec3 V6 engine, producing a total of 285 HP (212 kW) and 413 Nm (305 lb-ft) of torque.

All Sierra Elevation Edition models include remote keyless entry, remote locking tailgate, outside heated power-adjustable mirrors, a 110-volt AC power outlet, black recovery hooks, a six-speaker audio system and more.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the 2015 Elevation Edition is a $3,855 option. An automatic transmission is the only unit available, but both engines can be ordered with either two- or four-wheel drive.

The spokesman said US sales of the 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition totaled 500 last month, or 15 percent of all double-cab deliveries.
