Go Behind the Scenes of Disney’s Live-Action Beauty and the Beast

2017 will be the year of Disney’s live action interpretation of fan favorite Beauty and the Beast, and to celebrate the occasion the company is releasing the 25th-anniversary edition of the original animated film later this month. The shots of Beast’s castle are pretty, but we’ve seen majority before in the teaser, and that image of Lumière and Cogsworth first made the rounds last week.

In addition to this exclusive table read, the clip also provides us with further glimpses of Lumière, Cogsworth and the enchanted castle itself. Watson especially, with her sweet yet quick-witted portrayal (perhaps something she learned from Hermoine?), proves all the more that there’s no better Belle out there.

The much-anticipated live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast may not be out until next year, but we’re starting to get some sneak peeks at what the Disney movie will look like.

That iconic duo will be played by Ian McKellen and Ewan McGregor, respectively, who are part of an all-star cast that comprises Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts, along with Josh Gad, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kevin Kline and Audra McDonald. Disney’s live-action movie isn’t coming out until next March, but a new behind-the-scenes sneak peek is being included in the 25th anniversary rerelease of the original animated film.

The live-action Beauty and the Beast is set to hit theaters on March 17th, 2017. When something is so flawless, why get near it.

“Technology has caught up to the ideas that were introduced in that [1991] movie”, the live-action director Bill Condon said. “Beauty and the Beast” will be released in USA theaters on March 17, 2017.
