The event will have at least 20 drivers. The GoBowling.com 400 takes place Saturday at 7:46PM ET from Kansas Speedway at Kansas City, KS. Other short odds to win are Kevin Harvick (11/2) and Joey Logano (13/2). Truex would beat out Matt Kenseth in the final round to claim the pole position at Kansas Speedway. All races are at night. Kenseth retaliated a couple weeks later at Martinsville, driving Logano into the wall, and the two had more words during last week’s wreck-filled race at Talladega.

Johnson’s consistency at Kansas is unmatched, and in 19 starts, he has 16 top 10 finishes to go along with a series-leading 8.7 average finish. “We have great pit stops on pit road, everything has come together for us so far this year, so hopefully we can keep that streak going, run up front and compete for more wins”. Edwards will be a steal outside of the top-five this weekend.

After a Sunday of mayhem at Talladega Superspeedway, expectations are that the Sprint Cup circuit will return to a sense of normalcy this weekend at Kansas Speedway. Busch enters this weekend at 8-1 odds and while he still seeks his first Kansas victory, the focus here has shifted from merely surviving to being considered a strong contender to find victory lane. The driver believes his earlier success at intermediate tracks will expedite his learning curve. Johnson is fourth in the point standings, 22 points out of first. Since then his results have seen a steady decline. “I think we’re cooking up the right batch (for the race)”. He has won twice at Kansas. His three wins are tops on the series, and he ranks second in laps led and first in fastest laps run. He was knocked out of Sunday’s Talladega race in a spectacular crash that also included Danica Patrick.

“We’ve done so many things to change and enhance the experience”, Warren said. It’s going to be tough to pick one rookie over the other as the season progresses and it sure is going to be fun to watch. I mean, that’s what we do each and every weekend.

The seemingly freakish twist has a objective: In past years, where four 25-lap segments were followed by a 10-lap dash, the driver who won the race into Turn 1 for the final 10 laps always wound up winning. The race itself increases by a total of three laps from 2015, which had five segments.

Asked Friday if he could share anything from his conversation with Logano, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver said, “Nah, if we wanted that we would have made it a conference call”.

Kansas has been one of Almirola’s best tracks, and over the last six races here, he has four finishes of 11th or better.
