A smartphone app makes the exhibition spring to life with words from Geraldine Chaplin, who has portrayed Coco Chanel on film.

The showcase, which takes over the entire of London’s Saatchi Gallery, is pretty huge in scale, taking you on a journey through founder Coco Chanel’s career right up to the current day.

On display are couture gowns by Lagerfeld and a re-edition of the only jewelry collection Coco Chanel designed in 1932.

The fabric-lined sensory room allows visitors to touch and wander through real Chanel couture fabrics, from delicate silks to its famous bouclé tweeds, while artisans pin and sew on shadow-paper screens. The honest stills which embody the likes of Keira Knightley, Lily-Rose Depp & Lara Stone, see the beauties modelling the exclusive 1932 Bijoux de Diamants jewelry assortment. “And if you start being against the fashion of the time, you have a problem”, he added.
