Goalkeeper arrested – after conceding 43 goals

Either way, the police are yet to release Kwiotek or issue a comment on why he was arrested and his club are confused as to why there was a need to take the goalkeeper into custody.

He is now the world record holder in the history of football for conceding a goal per two minutes in the match with PSV Oberhausen. That may be the case for Marco Kwiotek, a goalkeeper in the lower leagues of Germany.

While playing for the German club SV Vonderort, Kwiotek allowed 43 goals – 35 in the first half alone – against PSV Oberhausen.

Indeed, Vondervort – who were only able to field eight players – found themselves 35-0 down by half-time at which point Oberhausen made a decision to take three of their players off the pitch in order to even up the sides.

Their opposition felt so bad about the situation that they squared up and took off three of their own players just to even up the numbers.

It still didn’t go well as SV Vonderort lost 43-0.

Record number of goals conceded then goalkeeper is arrested.

It was obviously a day to forget for Kwiotek and his week did not improve when five days later, at a training session, the 25-year-old keeper was led away by armed police officers and taken to the local station for questioning. Another report said Kwiotek was released nearly immediately after he was taken in for questioning.

Letting 43 goals fly past you is bad enough, right? “The police won’t tell us what happened and we can not reach Marco on his mobile”.
