Goalkeeper send goodbye message to Manchester United fans
Sport cites reports from England that claim the former Barcelona goalkeeper will spend the rest of the season in Belgium after falling out of favour under Louis Van Gaal.

It looks as though he is finally set to make his escape, with a move to Standard Liege ideal for all involved, as United are well covered in the goalkeeping department with Sergio Romero an adequate back-up for De Gea.
Victor Valdes has posted a message of thanks to Manchester United as he closes in on a move away from the club.
The United boss accused the Spanish global of refusing to play for the reserves and things became so strained between manager and player that Valdes was not even issued with a squad number this Summer.
Valdes joined United in January 2015 on an 18-month deal from Barcelona after training at Carrington following a cruciate ligament injury, but he has made only two appearances for the club.
Van Gaal said in July: “He is not selected because he doesn’t follow our philosophy and there is no place for someone like that”.
The 34-year-old is hoping for first team football in order to improve his chances of earning a spot in Spain’s Euro 2016 squad.

Balague has stated that the Manchester United goalkeeper will sign a six-month loan deal with the Belgian outfit.
