Goff is the Pick

The Denver Broncos then moved from No. 31 to No. 26 to get Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch, who was the third quarterback taken in the first round after California’s Jared Goff and North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz went 1-2 to the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.

The 21-year-old 6-foot-4-inch (1.93 meter) quarterback is the first quarterback from California to be picked in the first round since Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers was chosen in 2005.

Pederson, who is in his first offseason as an National Football League head coach, said he’s never been a part of a situation like this before, where a team’s incumbent quarterback is unhappy with his situation.

“It’s exciting a team believes in me that much to go up and get me”, Wentz said. Fisher traded him to Philadelphia (which Thursday selected Wentz as Bradford’s successor, timing TBA) and installed Nick Foles as the Rams’ quarterback.

Roseman and Pederson said they both were very upfront with their quarterbacks during the process of trading up and selecting Wentz. “All of us when we were around him, you want to be around him more because he has that energy and that desire to do great and to win”.

The San Diego Chargers broke the quarterback chain by taking Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa with the third pick and the Dallas Cowboys followed by claiming Ohio State’s dynamic running back Ezekiel Elliott.

“We ID’ed Jared and once we did, we wanted to figure out a way to go get him”, Snead said.

“Our careers will probably be linked for a long time”, Goff said. “I hope to call Philadelphia my home for a long time”.

Three Ohio State players were taken in the top 10 in the first round.

“I’m very proud to be the pick they chose”, Goff said. “And I see a lot of the same things in Carson”. I think that’s really cool. In return, the Rams received the Titans’ No. 1 overall pick, a 2016 fourth-round pick and a 2016 sixth-round pick.

Goff is expected to be pitched into the fray immediately for the Rams, who open their 2016 season against the quarterback’s boyhood team the San Francisco 49ers.

After going 7-9 in their final year in St. Louis, the Rams initially had the No. 15 overall pick. Floyd’s sack production slipped in each of the past two seasons, but he tantalized scouts with speed and strength at the Combine.

Cornerback Eli Apple went to the New York Giants at No. 10, putting three Buckeyes in the top 10 for the first time in school history. Chicago sent the 11th pick along with a fourth-rounder to the Buccaneers. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, Bradford had his best season in his rookie year.

The early big slide was experienced by MS offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil. A video shared on Tunsil’s Twitter account Thursday night showed him smoking marijuana out of a bong-gas mask contraption.

Tunsil explained the video by saying his Twitter account had been hacked.

Coleman arrived at Baylor in 2012, just as Robert Griffin III was leaving Waco for the NFL. The Lions took Ohio State tackle Taylor Decker at 14, and the Jets took Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee at 20.

The Rams have not had a winning season since 2003, and they are eager to begin their second tenure in Southern California, where they played from 1946 to ’94, by becoming competitive in the NFC West, one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. He was an All-American and first-team All-ACC his last two years with the Seminoles.
