Goff, Wentz at ease on eve of NFL draft

And because, well, they actually like each other.

And together they’ve emerged as the face of the 2016 draft, enhanced by the significance of the position they play and the Rams and Philadelphia Eagles surrendering king’s ransoms to move up from their original spots in the draft to secure the top two picks.

Earlier this month, the Titans shook up the NFL Draft by trading the No. 1 pick to the Los Angeles Rams for a boatload of picks – the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft, two second-round picks (43 and 45), and a third-rounder (76) in 2016.

“It would be awesome”.

While Garofalo indicated that it will depend on how things fall in the first eight picks, Rankins is a disruptive player. “I know they want to win, and if that’s where it is, I’ll make the most of it and embrace it”. Edwards told Fox Sports that he is excited to see the Rams back in Los Angeles and stated that Goff will be a ideal fit for the team.

“It would be great”. When asked about what Cleveland will do at quarterback, Jackson said, “no one said we don’t have a quarterback”. “The city has been waiting for a professional football team for a long time now”. But in terms of pressure, just because there’s two (candidates), I don’t think that’s anything added.

“Honest truth”, he said, with a sly grin. Before his rise to stardom at NDSU, though, Wentz was a lightly recruited prospect at Century High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he was tutored by one of Montana’s own. He is confident they will be the right ones, though. He’s not the ideal quarterback prospect, but I’ve determined that he’s capable of becoming a top-10 quarterback at the professional level.

Jim Plunkett had Archie Manning.

He pointed to the 1998 draft of Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf.

Andrew Luck has Robert Griffin III and Jameis Winston has Marcus Mariota.

The contracts will probably be beyond the wildest dreams of both Wentz and Goff as well.

Goff started every game during his three-year career at California. Each team has five minutes to make its pick in rounds 4-6, four minutes in Round 7 and four for each compensatory pick.

Wentz is the big, rugged kid from North Dakota State who easily passes the eyeball and tape test. But making the jump from a Division II program all the way to the NFL cracks open a door of concern, and until he proves he can compete at the much better, faster and physically imposing level of professional football, questions remain.

Other NFL analysts stated that the Rams are keeping their mouths shut not until the name of the player has been formally announced and their list is rumored to have narrowed down to either Goff or Carson Wentz.

“I would say our coaches have been out and traveled more and been more hands-on than my last two experiences”, Mularkey said Tuesday.
