Topping the Princeton Review list, “Great Financial Aid”, based on students’ satisfaction with their aid award packages, is Vassar College (NY) – a not-so-surprising distinction, given that Vassar’s average undergraduate need-based scholarship past year was $45,100.
Ohio Wesleyan University: Is That a Dorm? The new victor in that category is the University of Wisconsin at Madison, according to the college guide released Monday. Also on the list: Tulane University, Vanderbilt University, and University of Dayton.
The Princeton Review surveyed 143,000 current students on dozens of topics to create the rankings.
“We are pleased to have our students acknowledge an atmosphere where all are welcome, and recognize the dedication, academic expertise and nurturing nature of our faculty and staff”, said Thomas J. Botzman, Ph.D., president of Misericordia University. Princeton Review releases more data about their methodology as well.
The publication notes that UT “provides a family-like atmosphere full of opportunity and support” while touting its “sense of community”, and recognizes UT’s opportunities for educational enhancements and extracurricular activities.
“I think it’s amusing that this gets so much attention”.
