While tweeting a photo from this morning’s 2016 Golden Globe nominations, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association thought presenter America Ferrara was Jane The Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez.

Surprisingly, the Twitter account has yet to issue an apology and they simply updated the tweets.
Rodriguez, who grew up in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, won the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV comedy in January and was nominated again Thursday. “I’m going to make sure I work my tush off today just to not make it for nothing”, she added.
Gina Rodriguez rise to fame was nearly instantaneous. She says it’s hard to date!
Latina actresses aren’t any more interchangeable. She didn’t address the mixup either because she was too busy celebrating her nomination and she tweeted: “Speechless gratitude”.

Both Ferrera and Rodriguez have helped progress the image of Latinas on television by challenging stereotypes through there roles, public personas and support for the Latino community.
