Golden State’s unbeaten streak ended by the lowly Milwaukee Bucks
NBA MVP Stephen Curry expressed pride after the Golden State Warriors’ winning streak was ended by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded a triple-double, Greg Monroe had 28 points and the Milwaukee Bucks did something no team has done yet this season: they defeated the Golden State Warriors 108-95 on Saturday night. The loss was the Warriors first in 28 games, as they won their last four regular season games last season. The Bucks beat the Lakers 120-104 on January 9, 1972, snapping Los Angeles’ NBA record 33-game winning streak.
The NBA’s best 3-point team shot 23.1 percent (6-of-26) from beyond the arc.
Like the Warriors saw on Friday night in Boston, the crowd at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee was absolutely electric throughout the entirety of the match.
That tied the Warriors for the second-longest winning streak in league history at 27, but separating themselves from that mark was perhaps their toughest challenge yet.
Interim coach Luke Walton – filling in for Steve Kerr, who is still recovering from complications after back surgery, added: “Losing still sucks, just as I remember as a player and I remember as an assistant coach, it’s never fun to lose”.
The loss marked not just the end of the Warriors’ historic streak, but also the end of a seven-game road trip. But with that being said we need to get back to some of the things we were doing.
The Wizards snapped an 11-game losing streak to Dallas and won for only the second time on second half of a back-to-back this season.
A fourth foul sent Monroe to the bench late in the quarter and Golden State took advantage of John Henson, again making it a one-possession game. But I’m sure the long flight home, tomorrow off, guys just kind of unwinding, I bet there’ll be a little bit of relief mentally going forward from this point on.
“We will definitely cherish this, because it doesn’t happen often”, center Andrew Bogut said.
In each instance, there was a sense of inevitability that Golden State somehow would go on one of its breakneck-speed runs to put away another opponent. Thomas had 18 points and 10 assists, and Jared Sullinger had 13 rebounds for Boston, which had won two in a row and six of its previous eight games.
Draymond Green had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors. They were playing without Harrison Barnes, who missed the entire road trip with a sprained right ankle, and while Klay Thompson played after sitting out Friday’s game, he didn’t look anything like his normal self, shooting 4-for-14 overall – including 2-for-7 from three-point range.
Both teams have played a lot of games recently, as this was the second of a back-to-back for both teams. He’s even more important to Golden State on the other end of the court. But after beating the Cavaliers earlier in the season and now the Warriors, it can be argued that they have the potential to beat any team on any given night.
