Golden State Warriors set record for best start in National Basketball Association history

While Golden State made set a new record, the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant made history of his own – the bad kind.

“I’m not really anxious about it, honestly”, Bryant said.

The 1971-1972 Lakers set the record led by the imposing Wilt Chamberlain, and the high-scoring guard duo of Jerry West and Gail Goodrich.

“Anything is possible”, Luke Walton said. “No. Eventually we will lose”, Walton warned. Defensively in the first quarter where we’ve been struggling, we let up 11 points on 23 percent shooting.

Including matches from the end of last year’s regular season, the Warriors have now won 20 straight games – a feat achieved by only three other teams.

While it was an unforgettable night for the Warriors and Dub Nation, it was a forgettable night for Kobe Bryant.

Bryant went 1 for 7 from 3-point range in 25 minutes as Los Angeles lost its fourth in a row and eighth in nine. The 37-year-old is averaging 30.5 minutes per game, but red flags were raised when he logged 35 and 36 minutes in consecutive games last week. “Like I’ve been saying, everybody’s a great one-on-one player, but we’ve got to work on team ball”. “We’ve got to continue to just stay in the moment”.

The Warriors have gotten to this point with the help of a late game-tying 3-pointer to force overtime in a home win against Brooklyn, a comeback from 23 points down to beat the Los Angeles Clippers and plenty of blowouts.

Los Angeles managed to outscore Golden State 27-24 in the second quarter to trail by 16 at halftime. The pressure is mounting on Kobe Bryant to retire.

Interestingly, the Warriors began their franchise history in Philadelphia.

“If we don’t win an National Basketball Association championship, who cares about them 16 games?” Both Richardson and Draymond Green were both in Saginaw, Michigan and attended Michigan State.

“I have not considered that yet, no”, Scott said after the Lakers practiced Wednesday. I dont know if im the only one who feels this way, but it looks like the Lakers have given up on Byron Scott and if they have, welcome to the club.

They’re not just winning; they’re crushing opponents.

Walton said he does not think the Warriors will reach the 33 win mark now because the team will soon embark on a long road trip, which will include games against Toronto, Indiana and Boston.
