Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green arrested for assault

With all of the concern around domestic violence, a cause that Green himself has fought against alongside the National Basketball Association, fans can be relieved that the victim was reportedly male.

Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors forward and former MSU basketball star, was arrested for assault in downtown East Lansing at 2:28 a.m. Sunday, according to East Lansing’s 54B District Court records.

Green is one of the key players for the Warriors in the last two years along with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and helped the team win the championship in 2015 and make the NBA Finals in 2016.

Green was released from jail after posting a $200 bond.

In a statement, the Warriors said they are “aware of news” involving Green. No deals on whether or not it was open-handed or not, stay tuned.
