Golden State Warriors Stay ideal With Victory In Battle Against Detroit Pistons

“Ugly game. Real physical”. IN used a 17-3 fourth quarter run to take the lead and pull away for its fourth win in five games.

With Curry suffering through his worst offensive night of the season, the Warriors got a big boost from their bench to pick up the slack, much like they did last season when they captured their first National Basketball Association title in 40 years.

Coach Luke Walton was full of respect for his Detroit colleague, by stating that he was one of the toughest competitors present in the league. That gave him 17 points in the period and the Warriors a 74-63 lead.

Partly because the Warriors committed a season-high 23 turnovers and partly because Memphis uses so much clock on offense, the Warriors attempted only 75 field goals. Instead, the Warriors began kicked off their trip by chowing down on a ridiculous amount of McGriddles, McMuffins, and more from America’s favorite fast food giant. That is the way it has been all season, with five of their six losses coming by double digits.

Bogut scored eight points and pulled down 11 rebounds, combining with center Festus Ezeli to harry and hinder Pistons center Andre Drummond all night. Warriors move to 9-0, Grizzlies to 3-6. “My role is to make shots, and if I’m not making shots, I’m letting the team down”.

The Pistons actually managed to get one over their opponents on FG percentage, with 49 percent compared to 47 percent. That defense was nowhere to be found on November 2, when the Warriors shot 51.2 percent from the field and knocked down 11 3-pointers.

Andre Iguodala scored 13 points, Harrison Barnes had 12 and Leandro Barbosa, 10, for the Warriors (8-0) who stayed unbeaten this season, thanks to a strong showing by their bench. The reigning MVP also had five assists and five rebounds.

“Tonight was a learning experience for us”, Drummond said. Asked about winning 72 games, the all-time mark set by Michael Jordan’s 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, Walton replied, “The season’s too long to be talking about 72 wins”.

Certainly, the Grizzlies are not having that conversation.

“We want to be at the best we can be, and if that’s 72, 73 wins, then so be it”, he said. “But playing hard is not enough”. Curry leads in points with 32.4 and in steals with 2.4.

“Every game is going to be different”, Curry said. Jordan Adams (knee), and Brandon Wright (knee) were all in suits, Vince Carter was a DNP-OLD, and newcomers James Ennis and Mario Chalmers were not available in time for the game. “We’re short-handed”, Joerger said….

Can the Warriors become the first team in league history to go undefeated at home in the regular season?

Sacramento averages 103.6 possessions per game, scoring. His scoring average was more than double the next-closest teammate, SG Klay Thompson, at 16.1 ppg….

Watching the game last night, you couldn’t help but think the minutes that Steve Blake was consuming will soon be replaced by Reggie Jackson or Brandon Jennings in a pretty impressive two man point guard show.
