Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry to undergo MRI after injuring right knee
Curry missed time earlier in the game series due to an ankle injury, but Curry is expected to make a comeback this Sunday when Warriors take on Rockets on Game 4.

Golden State’s NBA MVP Stephen Curry has suffered another injury and is a doubt for the rest of the play-offs.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors warms up before playing the Houston Rockets, in game four …
“Hopefully, he’ll be OK before too long”, the Chronicle reports Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saying.
After warming up with the intent of trying to play through the pain to start the second half, he ultimately couldn’t give it a go.
In fact, Golden State outscored Houston 41-20 in the third quarter alone and set an National Basketball Association playoff record with 21 made three-pointers in a game, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
“Let’s not fool ourselves”.
“We just both felt bad for him, because Steph was emotional about not being able to go back out there”, Kerr said. “The third quarter, it was just a breakdown”.
Kyrie Irving came up big with 31 points in game four, while LeBron James had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Cavs. The setback in Game 5 poses a question on whether Curry’s first injury really had no problem.
The Warriors finished 21 for 40 from 3-point range, which was one away from their franchise record. Green didn’t register double-figures in any category, while Thompson missed on all seven of his 3-point tries. “If we have that same emotion and intensity on Wednesday, we should be successful”, Thompson told NBA.com in a postgame interview. He finished with six points. “You saw. He was very upset”.
“The same way that they did was the same thing we needed to do”, Bickerstaff said.
While defending Trevor Ariza’s last second jumper, Curry slid, landing awkwardly while hitting his right knee on the floor. He immediately grabbed his knee and jogged with a limp to the locker room. He came out with the team after halftime, but sat on the bench for most of the warmup time.
The loss puts the Rockets on the brink of elimination down 3-1 in the series. The Rockets scored just 20 points as compared with the Warriors’ 41 points. The Thunder, led by the star duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, lead the Mavericks 3-1 in their series.
Houston kept pace early behind dominant inside play by Howard, who had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the teams were tied at halftime.

Kerr added that Stephen Curry was lobbying to return to the game after suffering the injury, but Kerr wouldn’t let him. The teams split the two games Curry was out. However, he injured his right knee towards the end of the first half and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
