Golden State Warriors visit White House
Fresh off a win against the Wizards in Washington D.C. on Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors visited the White House on Thursday to be honored for their 2015 title. Head coach Steve Kerr is at center.

“It’s rare to be in the presence of guys from the greatest team in National Basketball Association history”, Obama said, before pausing to identify Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who was a member of the record-setting 1995-96 Bulls.
Obama is a big basketball fan and played golf with Curry and his father, former NBA standout Dell Curry, last August while on vacation.
“I think staying the course and trying to play to our identity and doing the things that we need to do as a basketball team will be important”, Donovan said.
On Draymond Green, Obama said that the 6-7 forward has been “showing us heart over height every single night”. “I don’t know if it necessarily about taking it to them or trying to set the pace of putting them back on their heels”.
The president also left the Warriors’ other sharpshooter Klay Thompson red-faced with a couple of zingers, although ended with praise at Curry’s expense.
“In their commitment to the My Brother’s Keeper initiative, promoting mentoring in the Bay Area and nationwide, the team even met with some students in the White House mentoring program before the event”.
During the Warriors’ visit to the president’s home to be honored for their 2015 NBA Championship, Kerr brought up the possibility of adding the soon-to-be outgoing president to the roster.
“Maybe you’ll break that Bulls record.”
Afterward, Curry told reporters that listening to the president list off the team’s accomplishments was “surreal”. “Which, man, that doesn’t seem fair”, Obama said.
Kerr also tentatively offered him a job since the president’s term in office is ending soon and he’s about to be a “free agent”.
“This really is one of the best that we’ve ever seen”, the President said.

Obama wasn’t able to keep to the theme of the Warriors the entire speech, making sure to fit in a comment about his hometown team.
