Golovkin overpowers Brook to retain middleweight titles
Of course, he’s a middleweight and that’s why I say pound for pound, but he’s the biggest puncher I’ve ever seen and this goes back all the way to my youth.

Brook (36-0, 25 KOs) is bravely moving up two weight divisions to face Triple G, which makes him a massive underdog.
But his own 36-fight unbeaten streak came to an end when Golovkin poured on the pressure to retain his WBC and IBF middleweight titles. GGG going in for the kill now and punishing Brook. This one’s over! Golovkin wins by 5th round TKO. Wow.
Brook was sporting a badly swollen eye in the fourth round but despite this he was still landing some lovely shots on Golovkin, that seemed to have little to no effect.
Kell Brook was unable to write himself into boxing folklore as he was stopped in the fifth round by an efficient Gennady Golovkin at the O2 Arena this evening. Backing Brook up. Hard right snaps Brook’s head back.
“This is the fight and the moment I have been waiting for for some time”, said Brook. Right they are breaking down the fight and what Golovkin and Brook need to do to win.
After the weigh-in, trainer Abel Sanchez suggested Golovkin simply wanted to let Brook enjoy his moment in the spotlight on home soil.

The second opened at the same unrelenting pace as both fighters sought to take the initiative and it was arguably Brook who made his mark, as he drew blood from the nose of Golovkin with a remarkable upper-cut towards the end of the offering. Throws a few left jabs, GGG gets Brook on the ropes and hurts the former welterweight. I am not taking away anything from Brook.
