The Rockies had to wait 2 hours, 7 minutes for the rain to end before they could start their game at Coors Field on Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Angels. Thursday’s delay was a minute shorter but more damaging because neither starter could return.
Two pitches into his 17th start of the season, Alex Wood’s outing was washed away. “It’s nearly the All-Star break and it’s still raining and 60 degrees”.

Brigham did help the Braves save their bullpen, but he was not all that effective in his four innings of work, allowing four runs, all earned, on 10 hits with a walk and a strikeout.
Hale (3-4) singled in the second and tweaked his groin scoring on Tulowitzki’s sacrifice fly.
