Goodbye Che! Here’s how the X Factor 2015 final went down

Louisa Johnson has been crowned this year’s X Factor champion.

She gushed: “Oh my god can I just say thank you to everybody who voted and thank you to Louisa for being the cutest, most generous, most hardworking, gorgeous, gorgeous victor of X Factor 2015!”

The show was also notable for including the last live performance by boyband and previous X Factor competitors One Direction, who will now be taking a break from music.

With a reprise of their favourite performance from the series – Cheerleader/What Makes You Bautiful – and their take on the winners’ single still to come on Sunday night- have they done enough to earn your vote?

Viewers have been voting for their favourite to win throughout the weekend. “Thank you so much”, said Louisa.

And, as The Telegraph put it, one may find Louisa Johnson apparently is a “worthy victor”.

Meanwhile, Adele performed her huge single Hello ahead of the night’s dramatic results, and joked with Olly afterwards that she felt like she was auditioning for the show as the judges were sitting so close to the stage. “I was thinking this week that Louisa was going to win the show but after that we may be in for a surprise”.

Both Fleur and Little Mix have already performed on the ITV reality series this year – with Fleur wowing previously with a rendition of Sax and the girl group belting out a Love Me Like You/Black Magic medley in November.

When Murs asked her what advice she would give the contestants, she said: “Always go with your own instinct”. Simon thinks she could even go on to outshine Leona’.

“This is my dream and I’m loving it”, said Johnson. “I’ve got the most loyal supporters ever”.

The aspiring singer was mobbed when she visited her old primary school, St Thomas of Canterbury School – alongside mentor Rita Ora. Draped all in white as she sang R Kelly’s I Believe I Can Fly, accompanied by a choir, Louisa looked ethereal.
