Goodell ‘disappointed’ in Pro Bowl; game could be moved to Australia
The NFL’s International Series has been a resounding success ever since its inception, and the owners gave the league a vote of confidence by voting to allow the series to continue through 2025.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t call him out on it.
The Raiders also wanted to move to Los Angeles, but owner Mark Davis may look at other cities if the franchise can’t work out a stadium deal with Oakland.
Goodell, speaking at his state of the league address in San Fransisco Friday, was asked by the New York Daily News’ Gary Meyers if the league does wins the appeal, will Brady’s four-game suspension go back into effect?
Disrupt Your Feed: Is Goodell playing a game of “let’s see how long we can deny the risks of football”?
“I was frozen out of asking a question at a Peyton Manning presser earlier this week by the National Football League people”, D-Mac said. “I think it’s very important to have a stage on which you celebrate our great players, what they can do on and off the field”, Goodell said.
“As you know we have been honoring the history of the Super Bowl this past season”.
The Jacksonville Jaguars – owned by Fulham FC chairman Shahid Khan – are under contract to play in London for several more years and have been speculated as a possible team to move.
It then jumped to the safety of the sport.
During a press conference on Friday, Waller said the league was looking at a “very specific proposal” to hold the game in Australia. They had a positive impact, at least in the short term but I didn’t see that this past week.
What is being done to protect the players in the trenches, the linemen who at well over 300 lbs. smash their heads together on nearly every play?
“I believe the league should pursue a policy where if there are two personal fouls in the game, there is an automatic ejection of the player”, Goodell said. Whether you become a professional athlete or not, I believe those values will help you in life and I rely on them every day in my job.
“I believe that’s consistent with what we believe are the safety issues but I also believe it’s consistent with what we believe are the standards of sportsmanship”, Goodell said. “There’s risks to sitting on the couch”, explained Goodell.
Here’s the point: Goodell’s session on Friday was more of a propaganda charade than an actual free flowing press conference.
Anybody who plays football should be fully educated about what they are getting themselves into before they put on a helmet and shoulder pads.
And it isn’t like these things are just made up.
On top of this game, Goodell believes there will be more games played overseas in the future. And that sent me back to the transcript just to see if I could find something Goodell said that is so uncomplicated, so straight-forward, so completely, safely, uncontroversial that it stood out from the other 40 minutes of this ritual. “You’re taking those issues and you’re combining them”.

Goodell stated that he intends to capitalize on that, giving the fans what they want, more American football. “It is not the kind of game that I think we want to continue to have in its current format based on what we saw last week”.
