Goodell: National Football League ‘being very thorough’ in considering Brady appeal | Pittsburgh

Or maybe he just isn’t admitting he knows anything.

Goodell said he has no specific timeline for when he will reach a decision.

Goodell is a moron trying to cover up his moronic decisions, so the longer he waits, the less time Brady’s team has to put together a court argument, because there is no way Goodell is going to completely erase his suspension (even though that is the fair thing to do).

Julian Edelman said earlier this week that Brady was “fired up” about the suspension and “ticked off” that a decision hasn’t been made. That may be all Goodell needs.

“We’re focused on it, we’re obviously being very thorough, want to make sure we’ve considered all aspects of his appeal, and we’ll make a decision as quickly as possible”, Goodell said.

Brady isn’t the only player now suspended for the season-opening game between the Patriots and Steelers.

The National Football League announced in late January that attorney Ted Wells would head an investigation into the New England Patriots use of underinflated balls in their 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game on Jan. 18. Goodell said so himself on Tuesday, to Pittsburgh’s TribLive.com, saying there’s no timetable for a decision on Brady’s four-game suspension. If Brady presented a convincing case at the hearing that he had no role in or knowledge of the deflation, Goodell could absolve him of that.

Brady and the Patriots report to training camp next Wednesday, July 29.
