Google adds new unfriendly features to Gmail
“In addition, the unsubscribe option is now making its way to Android, so you’ll be able to opt out of eligible mailing lists directly from the Gmail app”, Somanchi adds. The Gmail feature launching today puts a new “Block” feature in the dropdown menu of an email.

Email is still one of the most popular ways of correspondence, but sometimes an email arrives that you just don’t want to see, specifically when it comes from the same address over and over again. Blocking them is easier than ever with Gmail’s latest Block and Unsubscribe features. The objective of this option is simple, it enables users to block a sender which means you would not be getting any email.
Any emails from addresses that you choose to block will now automatically go into your spam folder.
All of these new Android features are likely to make their way to Google’s iOS version of Gmail at some point. This feature will also include fonts, colours, and sizes. Just click on it and the person is blocked.
To remove a sender from the blocklist, click on unblock next to the sender’s name and email address. Tap on them.
The unsubscribe feature was first made available on the web in August of a year ago .

Note whilst the feature is available from today on the web, it will only be seen by android OS users later this week.
