Google brings Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to Android One devices

Google has already rolled out a new update for its latest operating system known as the Android Marshmallow, providing selected devices with minor of under the hood security fixes. Android updates are typically customized slightly for their own respective devices, and this is also an important factor in how well they work. Indian consumers can now update their smartphone to Android M for enhanced user experience.

Following Android One, the update for Nexus devices is being awaited, however, Google might take a couple of months to roll out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to all the eligible devices across the globe.

The replacement for Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow was officially announced at the end of September.

As for T-Mobile’s Nexus 6, the update arriving soon actually comes more as a relief for owners.

OnePlus has also started releasing the OxygenOS 2.1.2 update to the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X smartphones OTA.

The developer had previously accurately reported that Google would soon begin seeding the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Android One program.

On the Interface front, the app got a significant change log as the controls for HDR+, flash, and timer have been shifted on the top corner, which were earlier placed just above the camera shutter button.

A report obtained from Poland mentions that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG G3 is in its final testing stages. There are those who are skeptical about the authenticity of the update, pointing out the supposedly suspicious December 1 patch level.

The Note 4 and Note Edge are due for the new update in February, while the Galaxy S5 will get the Marshmallow update in April.
