Google cars collide in Cali but humans to blame | Apps
Google has been testing out its self driving cars in a number of states in the USA and now Google has announced that it is testing these autonomous vehicles in Austin, Texas.

The vehicles use special software and sensors, which can detect objects as far as two football fields away in all directions.
Google has long since been trying to establish a system where the cars are able to drive themselves.
“Autonomous mode” means the software is driving the vehicle, and safety drivers are not touching the manual controls.
Google is sending a second specially equipped Lexus RX450h prototype this week to Austin. Last month, Google also began testing on the streets of Mountain View another one of the self-driving prototype cars it has built. On June 4, the auto behind was traveling under 1mph and no damage was reported; on June 18, the second vehicle was moving at 5mph and both cars suffered minor damage. In the coming months, more prototype cars will hit the road, the company said. Both cars were going less than 1 miles per hour. The self-driving cars by google come in different shapes and sizes. Since Google began testing self-driving vehicles in 2009, its cars have been involved in 14 “minor” accidents, said the company.
Then there are some of the Google self-driving cars that look like the head of a robot that has fallen off and started driving around dubbed pod cars by many cruising in California. Delphi later corrected its statement to say there was no close call at all, but at first the company said that a Google autonomous vehicle suddenly “cut off” the Delphi autonomous vehicle.
