Calendar also organizes the teacher’s assignments for the students as well.

Google also says that the feature should roll out over the coming week to everyone with a Google Apps account.

Google, the search giant, recently released new updates to its educational platform called “Classroom”. Not only will the Classroom platform integrate with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, but it will also create a Google Calendar for each class, allowing teachers to plan big events like field trips and guest speakers. Google will automatically create a calendar for each class in a teacher’s day, which will be accessible from either Classroom or Calendar. Teachers could post a video and ask students to answer questions about it, or post an article and ask students to respond.

Now, Google is adding tools to make the service more collaborative between students and teachers, and provide additional management and organization tools to teachers. Next up, you can now reuse assignments, announcements or questions from any one of your classes-meaning it’s easy to reteach concepts from last week, or even from previous year. When Google launched a number of updates to Classroom in May of this year, the company said students had already turned in more than 70 million assignments.

The feature will be enabled on the desktop, iOS and Android versions of Google Calendar for all Google Apps customers except for Google Apps for Government users.

Other new or upcoming features include the ability to bump a post by moving it to the top of the stream, optional due dates for long-term projects or student-driven assignments and the ability for teachers and students to attach Google Forms to posts and assignments.
