Huawei has mentioned that it looks forward to work with Google and bring compelling and rich Daydream experiences to the users. Essentially, what that means is that future Android devices running the next version of Google’s mobile OS will be able to download and install software updates in the background without interrupting your use of the phone. Android smartphone manufacturers will be launching Daydream Ready devices in the fall, which will give access to content from partner media companies such as HBO, CNN, Netflix, the NBA, Hulu, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and IMAX. Pitched as a development platform that will be integrated into Android N, it has the potential to be huge if people get on board. Where f!@# is Apple with virtual reality?

Google I/O is all about developers, and part of that story is giving praise to the developers that make the fantastic apps that Google itself notices as being exceptionally great. Basically, Google says it’s too much of a hassle to make a reality for current devices out in the market. Their VR platform, called Daydream, will include a VR headset and a controller.
