Along with the high-end handsets there’ll be a higher-end headset – in comparison to the existing, entry-level Google Cardboard caddy that’s available for $20.
Developers will have to use a Chromebook Pixel, an Acer Chromebook R 11 and an ASUS Chromebook Flip if they want to test their apps for the laptop. Google recently posted a compatibility list for Chromebooks that will run Android apps, and the roster is sure to frustrate folks who jumped on the Chromebook bandwagon early. Even with the Play Store, Google may find it hard to convince consumers and businesses to adopt Chromebooks though.
Google will be making the developer kit for Chrome OS Android apps available in June. Opening the app will be as fast as loading a Web page, which is more convenient for users carrying out tasks in their Android smartphones and tablets. “We’ve been encouraged by this growth, but our users have often told us that they would like to do even more with their Chromebooks – run more apps, use Office files more easily, connect with a variety of apps, and do more when they’re offline”, Google said. The presentations given by Google’s VR team all day yesterday painted a rich picture of the future, filled with games and movies and a special little controller that will enable many different phones to have the same great VR experience. The company did not merge the platforms, as was rumored last fall and subsequently denied by Google, but the distinctions between Chrome and Android apps will effectively expire starting next month.
Chromebooks made up more than half of portable device shipments to USA schools previous year, a growth of 12 percentage points over 2014.
The Google I/O 2016 event has brought in quite a number of revelations, be it the Allo chat app, Daydream VR platform or Instant Apps.

-Interactive notifications: This is probably one of the biggest update in Android N. Google with the new mobile operating system will bring an enhanced notification panel from where users can directly reply to chats, expand them more than what is now possible in Android Marshmallow to access more options, and access quick toggle options without swiping down the notification panel twice.
