“Since 1947, India has stood as a beacon for the world, as an economic power that prides innovation, as a resilient democracy in the face of terror and as a strategic power that upholds global norms”, Mr Kerry said in his Independence Day message on behalf of US President Barack Obama.
Apart from the history, Google Maps along with along with the Cultural Institute will take you to iconic monuments.
On his many visits over the years, Kerry wrote, “I never cease to be amazed by India’s rich national identity”.
Mahatma Gandhi led the 240-mile march to Dandi, inspiring millions of Indians to commit acts of civil disobedience and changing the way the world perceived the movement for Indian independence.
Google has some solid plans for India’s 69th Independence Day.
