Vanessa Marcotte, 27, who lived in NY, was found dead in a wooded area near Brooks Station Road, about a half-mile from her mother’s Princeton home.

She had been reported missing just hours earlier by her family after going out for a jog earlier in the day.
Her body was found just after 8 p.m.by canine units in a wooded area on Brooks Station Road, the same street where her mother lives.
Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr told reporters at a press conference, “We have a disgusting set of facts, awful circumstance”.
Whether this was somehow connected to the previous murder of Karina Vetrano, 30, last week near her home in Queens, N.Y, Early said nothing so far had been found to confirm that. “We are asking the public to be careful, to be vigilant”.
The 27-year-old reportedly had burns to her hands, head and feet and was also missing items of clothing.
Those who knew Marcotte were in disbelief yesterday that the woman they remembered as selfless and tirelessly ambitious had met such a violent end.
Marcotte’s Instagram feed depicted someone who loved the New England Patriots, Boston and the beach.
Marcotte was on a weekend visit to her family, when she headed out for a jog early Sunday afternoon and, tragically, never returned.
The heartbroken father of a Manhattan-based Google manager who was killed after leaving for a jog in near her parents’ home in MA demanded justice Tuesday, according to reports.
In the statement, she was described as “a much loved member of the Google team.known for her ubiquitous smile, passion for volunteer work, and love of Boston sports”.
A vigil is planned for Marcotte in Princeton Tuesday night.

There are eerie similarities between the murders of Vetrano and Marcotte.
According to her social media profile, Vanessa graduated from Boston University in 2011.
Upon graduating, she worked at an online marketing software start-up in Boston called WordStream.
Police say there is “nothing at this point” to connect the killings, but they are said to be “comparing notes”.

After her death was confirmed, Massachusetts State Police set up an anonymous tip line for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious that afternoon.
