Google Glass 2 Minimalist Design Revealed

The previous Google Glass was powered by processor created by Texas Instruments and it had a poor battery life which we’re pretty sure that be improved, which means that Google could use a larger battery pack.

It’s reported that the tech giant has been granted a patent for the new Glass: a wearable device, which fits onto one ear and wraps around the head of the user.

Google has been secretive since the company started working on the second version of the head-mounted computer called Google Glass, but a recent patent grant revealed a different new design. Rather, it will come in the form of a monocle which is something that can be easily worn around a person’s head.

It’s worth noting that, as patent-inspired speculation usually goes, there’s a chance this proposed device may never become anything at all.

According to CNet, the patent of the device revealed that it would rest on one side of the face and would be tucked over an ear.

“The display end is positionable away from the head such that the display element is suspended over an eye adjacent to the temple”.

Sales for the Google Glass ceased in January of this year as the company needed to temporarily halt production and recalibrate the development and direction for which that device was aimed at. The Google Glass 2 is codenamed Project Aura and it’s targeting the Enterprise market, but the device will be cheaper than the original model.

There were no clear plans whether there would be software or hardware improvements. Traditional-looking glasses are believed to be developed for enterprise customers. “It folds like a regular pair of glasses, and because it’s first and foremost being built for the workplace, it has a more rugged build and appearance”, explained 9t05google.
