Today, the giant tech company is announcing their October 4 event.

Google is also said to launch other products like 4K Chromecast, Google Home, and its Daydream VR device during the Pixel launch event, according to a report by AFP.
Google has put up a video on the new website, which shows the date of the event and the company’s logo on either side of a phone’s silhouette.
Google is planning to replace its beloved Nexus smartphones with new devices that will fall into the Pixel brand. The Global Certification Forum (GCF) confirmed the devices will be manufactured by HTC and will have metal (aluminum) body. Both the smartphones are expected to run on Android Nougat 7.1 out-of-the-box and both will have an aluminum body. The special version of Android Nougat could have in it some minor improvements. It shows what looks like Google’s search bar slowly transforming into a shape of a phone. However, it did not reveal how much the Google Pixel XL will actually cost. HTC will be handling the Pixel smartphones. The pricing detail yet has not been revealed.
October 4 is the date when Google will launch its new phone or phones. Especially, the two upcoming smartphones will have Day Dream VR support, and the headset will cost 80$ as one source ever said. This means that new features are incorporated into the model. However, reports are suggesting that Google won’t be using Nexus as its brand, rather it’ll use “Pixel” as its moniker.

As per the features are concerned, the regular Pixel phone is rumored to have a 5.2-inch Full HD display, powered by Snapdragon 820. So again, while not directly saying “Yes Pixel phones are coming on October 4”, when your read between the lines this is as good as a confirmation will likely get. Google already has the Pixel C tablet and Pixel Chromebook laptop, and the company is likely to carry on with the same naming convention for the smartphones.
