The first is a new messaging platform that emphasizes expression, security, and the inclusion of Google Assistant. But at least one person isn’t too happy with the new messaging app, and in fact wants you to avoid it all together for now.

If you ask a layman what “Allo” is, he/she would take a look at the app and just say that it’s what Hike looks like when on steroids. One cool feature is called Knock Knock, which shows users a live video preview of a caller before picking up.
Google has announced yet another new messaging service today at Google I/O, called Allo, this time with a focus on machine learning and automation thanks to integration of Google Assistant. The most popular chat service with over a billion users, WhatsApp also uses the software and it recently finished putting end-to-end encryption for its users. Facebook Messenger is working on its own digital assistant M and launched “chat bots” at Facebook’s developer conference in April.
Alphabet Inc.’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Google recently revealed two new chat apps for Android and iOS devices. In this mode, messages will be end-to-end encrypted – similar to WhatsApp – which also allows you to create Snapchat-like expiring messages.
The Allo messaging app comes equipped with the Smart Reply feature, which was earlier seen in the Inbox app by Gmail.
“Duo” is a companion app for one-to-one video calling. It lets users chat with friends as well and have “expressive” conversations with stickers, a built-in photo editor, and a whisper and shout tool.
I think I’ve lost count of how many apps Google has released recently.
The app can also play games with users, using emoji to spell out film titles, for instance.

The more you use Allo, the more suggestions you will get. When someone calls you with Duo, you’ll be able to see their video feed even before you answer the call. It has a clean interface, which is very easy to understand and has smart features to keep your conversations flowing and help you get things done.
