Google launches Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones

Both phones will also have a fingerprint sensor called Nexus Imprint that Google claims will make them “quicker and more secure”, as well as Android Pay ready.

Google is going for a two-phone launch for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, partnering with LG and Huawei for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P respectively.

Here in the United Kingdom, the Nexus 5X, featuring a Snapdragon 808 SoC and 16GB of storage will set you back £339.99, which is a little more expensive than the last Nexus 5 but is still much cheaper than a flagship device. “FPC1025 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality”.

In a bid to target loyal Apple customers, Google has launched new Nexus smart phones and a convertible tablet.

Android Marshmallow is now available in more than 70 languages with 6 new additions including Azerbaijani, Gujarati, Kazakh, Albanian, Urdu and Uzbek.

On the other hand, Google’s Pixel C is the first tablet built ground-up and is seen as an alternative to the iPad Pro unveiled this month and Microsoft’s Surface.

The 10inch Pixel C features high resolution screen, a metal body, multi-coloured bar light on the backand, a full-size keyboard, and a USB-C port for charging that is used in Nexus smartphones.

Google has confirmed that the two-year old Nexus 7 models are going to be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow later next week. This one also includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octo-core processor, 3GB of RAM and an option of 32, 64 and 128GB of storage in an aluminium unibody shell available in silver, black and white.

With too tech giants collaborating on building the next Nexus smartphone, it is going to be double charming with its tech features as well as upcoming Android marshmallow OS. Both phones are available for pre-order but, won’t ship until October.
