Two months ago, Google had brought in a new Wi-Fi router into the market under the name OnHub.

The router’s main new feature is the ability to prioritize traffic to a device by waving your hand over the OnHub.
Google has confirmed that the ASUS OnHub will be available to pre-order from a few retailers beginning this week, and it will be priced at $219.99.
Google introduced its OnHub router this summer, promising that it would be just the first in a series of routers created to be easier to set up and use. The router will also be able to select the best antennas to send Wi-Fi over depending on the location of the devices it’s connected to; that feature will also be rolling out to the original OnHub, which is made by TP-Link.
Well, get ready, because the new Asus OnHub router costs…$220! It’s clear that Google wants you out and interacting with your router in ways we haven’t seen, and waving your hand in front of it to make your Internet more robust is a good example of that.
It’s also worth noting that Google will be pushing its first software update to its OnHub routers this week. Like the TP-LINK OnHub, the ASUS OnHub is a pretty plain-looking canister, though the ASUS model starts out with a large base and then tapers up to a smaller top.

In addition to the above, the OnHub router from ASUS will include the latest version of WiFi (802.11 AC), a 5Ghz network option, a single LAN (likely Gigabyte), and a USB 3.0 port for adding a hard drive or flash drive. Even more money! Like the TP-Link OnHub, it has an attractive vaguely conical design, and sports a ring of LED light that tells you what emotions your network is feeling at the moment.
