Nintendo has yet to provide a ton of official details regarding the upcoming game, and that has led to a lot of widespread speculation regarding its release.

As much as fans may want to read into the presence of the Easter eggs as a sign that the game itself is coming out soon, they may actually just be there to give the fans a little bit of a thrill and nothing more.
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD releases onto the Nintendo Wii U today, but if you’re a regular user of Google Maps, you may notice Link has found his way onto the service, replacing the well-known yellow Pegman. It is the only such game to get a full release on three consecutive consoles. Players can scan the amiibo using the Wii U’s GamePad in order to unlock “a brand-new set of challenges you’ll take on as Wolf Link”.
Then, while in street view, Link pops up in the mini-map in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.
This isn’t the first time that Google has integrated a video game franchise into Maps. He’s now dressed the part of Link, and has his Hylian Shield and Master Sword equipped, so that he can save the land. For April Fools’ Day 2014, it set Pokemon loose into Google Maps, allowing users to find and capture them in different parts of the world.

The tiny Hero of Time will be appearing on Google Maps for the next five days, so you’ll have plenty of time to imagine that you’re him, as you plot your way through your city, and figure out where the next piece of the Triforce is.
