Google Maps shows JNU if you type ‘anti
While the controversy surrounding JNU’s students is still being debated, Google Maps seems to have tagged JNU as anti-national.

Search giant Google is showing Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), when the words “anti-national” are typed in the search box. Mr Kumar’s arrest was followed by that of two others students; all three have been charged with seditious behavior and granted bail.
The university witnessed protests and counter protests with the police cracking down on students over the anti-India slogans raised earlier to mark the death anniversary of Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru on its campus in the national capital last month.
However, this is not the first time Google maps has made a faux pas. A spokesperson commented, “Some inappropriate results are surfacing in Google Maps that should not be, and we apologise for any offence this may have caused. They have said that it’s a bug and will be fixed soon”.
Google has search algorithms in place which pick up keywords as they wade through the endless web traffic and articles.

“My own take on it is that Google Locations are linked with the user reviews, apart from Wikipedia and news results”. Hindustan Times reported that students and faculty at the university have expressed their displeasure at the tech glitch in the world’s largest search engine, and that they will approach Google about the problem. “We don’t need to look for it on Google maps, when everyone knows that the address of anti nationals is in Nagpur at RSS headquarters”, she further alleged.
