Right now Amazon has partnered with Kitchen Stories, Allrecipes, Epicurious, Food52, TheKitchn and SideChef to provide these recipes, with possibly more to come in the future. You can tell an Echo to add time to the microwave, or ask it to stop.

In addition to the highly anticipated Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones, Google will reportedly release a set of new hardware including a Google Assistant-powered Home Hub smart display device. Amazon and Google flooded the market with low-priced devices like the Echo Dot and Google Home Mini, letting shoppers try voice tech at home for as little as $25.
Amazon’s senior vice president of devices and services Dave Limp said the momentum around the smart home had been “incredible”, with more than 20,000 devices now available in the category.

Amazon also took the opportunity to shed light on new Alexa skills, and features available to third-party devices, as well as announcing that it would add broadcasting capabilities to the Echo, Fire TV and Alexa app later this year. It’s gone on to make various flavors of Echo, including smaller Echos, an alarm clock, one with a screen and a device just for kids.

Along with this very nice new appearance, the Dot now has improved audio with Amazon boasting that it will sound 70 percent louder than its predecessor. I didn’t count them all but there were 11 new devices launched at the event starting with a new version of the Echo Dot and ending with the Echo auto for your vehicle. Background road noise, the sound of the radio, and other people talking can get in the way of Alexa understanding, hence the need to squeeze eight microphones inside.
