Google Nexus 4 Android 6.0 Marshmallow Not Left Out

If you have the OnePlus One handset and you’re wondering when the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be making its way to you, we suppose that’s anyone’s guess at the moment as to if and when the update will arrive.

Users in the XDA thread say that this version of Marshmallow for the G4 is pretty much identical to the previous Lollipop build (at least on its face).

Doze is the new feature added in Android 6.0 Marshmallow to reduce battery consumption on existing devices. It should be noted that the firmware is only compatible for the LG G4 H815 model, according to Android Authority. You will also need to download and install TWRP recovery, so that you can backup all the data from your device. The update is split into four different files: the boot, bootloader, modem and system zip files.

First of all, you will need to download to your computer the CyanogenMod 13 Marshmallow custom ROM and Google Apps for CM13 ROM files, these files can be found easily on the internet by doing a simple Google Search.

The official Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS ROM for your LG G4 is truly a dream coming true for LG and in this regard, hats off to XDA Developers group that have made the Android Marshmallow update possible for other smartphones as well. If ever the installation does fail, the backup can just be restored through the recovery menu or via the ADB commands.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is slowly being rolled out by OEMs but not everyone will get it, and let’s not kid ourselves the carriers will take all the time in the world to deliver these OTAs to your Moto G 2014.
