Google’s next flagship phone is likely to be an upper mid-range smartphone. According to an industry insider, Weibo reports, HTC is going to be the most probable candidate to take charge of the next Nexus.

The 3D Touch technology is going to be the next big thing in smartphone models. Press lightly to peek at a photo, email, web page or other content, and press a little deeper to Pop into the content itself.

“Pressure sensitive display” or “3D Touch” will be introduced in this smartphone or that smartphone appears to the most popular rumour these days.

More news about the HTC 2016 Nexus smartphones as well as their specs and features should be made available later this year. The South Korean company is focusing on their own brand, but that doesn’t mean their subsidiaries like LG Display cannot be part of other projects. HTC is in a bit of a conundrum, with all the rumors about a not-so-interesting HTC One 10 smartphone taking its toll on the company’s reputation, so a partnership with Google might get it out of the rut it’s been in since the One M9 was launched past year.

Aside from the latest rumblings about the supposed inclusion of the 3D Touch feature, not much else is now known about the next line of Nexus smartphones. However, if this rumor holds true, then Android device makers may have found a potential to make it an eye-catching feature.

The death of support for the feature from app developers negatively impacted the availability of the feature on Android devices.
