Google Play Music to get $14.99 family plan [RUMOR]

With the release of Apple Music being June 30, those who signed up for Apple Music on that day will see their three-month free trial end on September 30, which is later this week.

You’ll then still be able to use your free trial until the last date, but then it won’t automatically renew. That means you can fire up a playlist of classic rock while little Billy bangs his head on the wall and screams at the top of his lungs to his collection of death metal, or whatever it is kids listen to these days. This is a move to take on competitors like Spotify and Apple, and will allow users to use the service across 6 accounts for just about $15 per month… From there, you can turn off the automatic renewal.

Members of a family certainly wouldn’t like to pay individually for a music streaming subscription, the costs will be quite high, and that’s why family plans are so appealing. This could have been one of their little surprises, but it looks like the cat is out of the bag on this one as well, as Android Police have managed to get their hands on info suggesting Google is to launch a family plan for Google Play Music tomorrow. The company is also expected to talk about some of its services and according to a new report a Google Play Music family plan will be formally launched tomorrow which will allow families to share one single Play Music subscription.
