Now, Google has announced that the Cardboard app has been translated to 39 languages and is available in over 100 countries.

Google also published the Cardboard Developer docs in 10 languages to allow developers to build VR devices.
Google knows it has a potential hit platform on its hands, particularly since the Cardboard viewer can easily be had for or less. The Cardboard SDK has a few new tweaks to lessen drift (especially on devices with lower quality sensors), and to make sure of compatibility with Unity apps and games. The WeArVR app directory lists more than 280 Android apps worth checking out, and more than 50 iOS apps.
Finally! Google is taking the next big step to introduce the world to Virtual Reality.
Google wants you to explore the world in virtual reality – and now you can, via the new Cardboard button that’s been added to its Street View apps for Android and iOS.
Not only that, Google has also updated its Cardboard software development kits for Android and Unity, by throwing into the mix a pair of highly requested changes, namely drift correction and Unity performance. Google has announced that the Google Cardboard update is now available to download in a whopping 100 countries for folks with Android… or an iPhone.
Meanwhile, for those who have no time to make their own viewer, they may opt to select a certified viewer now on sale, such as the Zeiss VR One GX and Mattel View-Master. The company said it wanted everyone to experience virtual reality in a “simple, fun, and affordable way”.
All of the Google Cardboard upgrades will improve users’ VR experiences.
Google has just rolled an update for its Android and iOS Street View apps that lets you explore its massive database of 360-degree imagery using Cardboard, the company’s cheap-as-chips virtual reality headset.

Obviously the whole world isn’t on Street View, and even the parts you can see in VR won’t quite be in ideal 3D.
