Google reveals annual list of top trending searches
Although Google is the worldwide web’s dominant search engine, internet users also go to social media for information, meaning that the data do not give a definitive picture. Numerous topics span many locations, with the rest being cards for more localized events, such as the floods in Chennai for India and the new Prime Minister for Australia. Paris was the sixth most searched term, garnering 897 million searches. Donald Trump was the most searched-for politician, edging out Democratic foes Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton (the latter of whom didn’t even make the top 10 list). A four-day binge in October that culminated in Odom being found unconscious in the Nevada Love Ranch placed him atop Googles list of hottest searches during 2015.

But the city of Paris – traumatised by deadly attacks in January and November – dominated search queries across categories, according to the Google trend ranking released for the 15th year. Check out the rest of the trends here!
And finally, perhaps a little later than you might have guessed, our search turned to the attacks last month in Paris. His situation had the world searching for answers.
Check out some of these lists below to know if these coincide with your Google searches in 2015.
Many searchers wanted to know how to use the new Snapchat update, while others were asking Google, “What is Charlie Charlie?”
One of the ten most Googled questions of the year was “How to lose 10 pounds in a week?”
South Africans are either learning to fish, stream games to Twitch or making models of objects given that the top “how to” search was “how to cast”. Of more than 155 million searches on the subject, Darth Vader remains the most-searched character, with nearly half of all character-specific results related to the redeemed Sith lord.
A Scottish couple’s photo of a mother-of-the-bride dress that appeared white and gold to some people and blue and black to others, became the year’s viral search sensation.

Caitlyn Jenner, who was previously known as Bruce Jenner, follows Odom in the “trending people” list.
